Proposal

DI Uma is an intriguing UGER star that has a very similar lightcurve to RZ Lmi. IX Dra , ER Uma , V1159 Ori and RZ Lmi ( the other UGER stars) are already being monitored by AAVSOnet under several proposals from BENS.

DI Uma is thought to be a period bouncer ( A. Rutkowski1, A. Olech, A. et al A&A 497, 437–444 (2009)) with a very short orbital period of 78 min. Yet, unlike other period bouncers like WZ Sge and Al Com, it is a very active UGER star (spending about half the time in super outburst). This is puzzling suggests it deserves more attention.

Could DI Uma be added to the AAVSOnet monitoring list please?

The TAC recommends using at least a V filter and 3 minute exposure times for a BSM system.

Ken,
After 4 or 6 images in March, I have not received any other images from MPO61. Has something gone astray?
Stewart
