ASAS J035812+1629.7 (HD 285322) was identified as an eclipsing binary by ASAS and subsequently added to VSX as an EA variable with a period of 1.5 d. There are no observations in AID nor AAVSONet Epoch DBs. APASS epoch DB has at most observations per filter. I cross matched K2 targets with VSX and found a good light curve for this star that pretty clearly shows it not an Algol type binary (I can provide a phased light curve from VStar upon request). Just yesterday (11/26/2018), VSX was updated with results from this analysis.

I propose collecting time series observations in B and V for this star over several nights to analyze the color during all portions of the light curve. I am embarking on a personal education project to better understand how to analyze binary light curves. I recently purchased BinaryMaker and would use that to analyze the results.

Additionally, I would like to get a better understanding of AAVSONet so I can better assist with software improvements. This would give me the user perspective on this facility.
