| Proposal | To observe SN2013df SAAP to see if there has been a secondary maximum (double peak light curve) This object has been compared to SN1993J which did have this feature. There is nothing in the AAVSO database after June 16th on this target. I also come up empty when searching the usual places online for recent observations. Three 300 second exposures in the V band would be a good minimum amt of observing time. Thank you for considering this proposal. I am not familiar enough with the telescopes or observing demand to make a intrument choice. |

The TAC thinks that I band observations in addition to V would be good. Let's observe it nightly for a week and see how the light curve looks.

Dirk, I am thinking we may need to pull the plug on this. It appears to have passed the second peak and is on it's way down. We are also getting into a range of brightness where the S/N ratio will not be good (especially considering GX light inteferance). There are a few observations that show it around 15.5V. Az Monsoon season strikes again. Thank you for accepting my proposal and I look forward to better weather next time.

Sorry I didn't see this message until now. I don't seem to be getting notifications about comment posts. The monsoon has arrived at SRO. Arne said he'd keep it in the W30 queue in case it can be observed there.
