| Proposal | In response to AAVSO Alert Notice 738, urgent observations are required of R Aqr from now until the end of May 2021 to support upcoming schedules Chandra and HST observing campaigns. Elizabeth Waagen sent me a follow up email which states "Hi Andrew, Is there a possibility you could take some B and V images of R Aqr starting now and continuing through May? Dr. Margarita Karovska needs the color information from B and V prior to the Chandra observations scheduled for next week and through the HST observations in May. Any coverage you can provide would be extremely valuable and very much appreciated. Many thanks, and best regards, Elizabeth" I propose to use one of the BSM telescopes in the southern hemisphere to perform CCD photometry (B & V) on every clear night between now and the end of May. Time is of the essence and therefore it would be appreciated if this proposal is approved (or not) and observations are scheduled as soon as possible. |
