Proposal

Observation of the phase of maximum brightness in V band of the Mira-Type star NSVS J0421121 162617. The purpose is the accurate determination of the range of variability. An observing run on SRO50 is active for the observation of minimum brightness. The magnitude range of this star is about 12-18(V). In this day the star is at mag. 16(V) rising. The most suitable scope for this project is the W30.

Comments from the TAC:

This star also has NSVS, ASAS-3 and CRTS data (saturated but still useful due to the large amplitude)

And of course, a lot of AAVSO data:
http://www.aavso.org/lcg/plot?auid=000-BCZ-045&starname=NSVS+J0421121%2B162617&lastdays=4000&start=&stop=&obscode=OSE&obscode_symbol=2&grid=on&visual=on&v=on&uWV0pt=on&unknown=on&unvalidated=on&fainterthan=on&pointsize=1&width=600&height=425&mag1=&mag2=&mean=&vmean=

The period is not 275 d (NSVS periods are based on data covering less than one cycle) but combining AAVSO, CRTS, ASAS-3 and NSVS it can be solved (319 d.).

There are a lot of contemporaneous datasets so the data could be shifted and transfromed to the V scale defined by AAVSO and ASAS-3 V data.
The star has been revised in VSX, I think a very complete light curve is already available so there is no need to observe it:
