Proposal | In the General AAVSO Discussion forum, Sebastian Otero requested photometric monitoring of the imminent secondary eclipse of V0795 Cas: https://www.aavso.org/upcoming-eclipse-v0795-cas-0 The eclipse is anticipated to begin this Sunday, July 31, at 17:08 UT, and end around Wednesday, August 3, at 04:35 UT. Sebastian says: "Multicolor observations should be critical now to see the amplitude in the different passbands. The eclipse will be challenging. so it is important to have dense coverage a couple of days before and after it to see if it can be glimpsed. Therefore, I would like to request an initial period of intensive coverage beginning immediately, and ending on or after August 6th. After August 6th, a reduced cadence of 1-2 observations per week continuing through September 10th could be beneficial. The use of multiple filters during each observation is encouraged. I band is of the highest priority, followed by R band, then V, and finally B. If all 4 can be obtained during each observation, that would be ideal. Reduced data will be uploaded to the AID. |
