Proposal | Target: T CrB Magnitude Range: 2.0 – 10.8 V Background: T CrB is has gone through a sustained brightening period in 2016 and recently gone through a small stabilization period (2021). It is due to go Nova within the next couple of years if it follows similarly to its previous out burst in 1946. Objective: Monitor T CrB in advance of its upcoming outburst and record unusual behavior both visually and in the B, V, R & I band using CCD's. These observations will help further refine and understand the outburst cycle. Also to obtain high quality photometry during an outburst which is probable to occur in the next 2 years and to provide Professional astronomers with this data on T CrB. I will be monitoring also with visual observations over the next two years to supplement the CCD observations. Filters: B, V, R, I (2 images per filter) Images delivered to VPHOT for analysis and upload to AAVSO. |

From Arne:
"I note that T CrB was an HST object in 2021, and Brian Ramey had a proposal (P223) for it. That proposal was only for 6 weeks, yet I see P223 still enabled on BSM_NH2. I recommend it be turned off and Corkill's proposal enabled instead."- (4726) Kenneth Menzies — Jan. 9, 2023, 2:40 p.m.
Committed to NH and NM.

Hi Ken and Team - Can we continue the allocation on this proposal for another 6 months? The Expiration Date is coming up soon and we should continue monitoring T CrB.
Thanks - Andrew- (4726) Kenneth Menzies — July 16, 2023, 4:21 p.m.
