I am an AAVSO member since 2018 and an AAVSO AMBASSADOR from India.
I have been very much impressed by the Alert Notice –no-809 ( Monitoring of AB Aur requested for HST support ) from AAVSO about the AB Aur (UXOR/ROT-type variables).
So it would be a great opportunity to observe this star using the AAVSOnet observing facility.
I would like to find out the photometric measurement of these ccd
images using the VPhot package of AAVSO and upload that photometric measurements of the above type variable to AID.
After that I would like to study the present time of maximum light
of AB Aur using Vstar involving my students under AMBASSADOR program.
For this study I would like to get ccd images using AAVSOnet section till the observation of the star will be available in the coming few months of 2023.
Alert notice had also mentioned that when the HST observations are scheduled, observers will be notified via the forum threads above and likely via a follow-up AAVSO Alert Notice.
