Proposal | I recently watched the recording of the AAVSO webinar on AAVSOnet (Apr 1 2023) and was intrigued by Enrique Boeneker's presentation on DCEP(B) stars. He mentioned the star V1345 Cen as being of this type and that it had had only one observation, according to the VSX. I thought that this star might be worth observing, to eventually produce a light curve, using filters B, V, R and I, and to allow study of this double-mode Cepheid. As far as cadence is concerned, initially once per day may be about right? Perhaps more frequently to shorten the total observation period? Cheers: Paul (YPFA) |

Another comment: On reflection, it might make sense to observe the star 3 or 4 times per night. In that way, a basic light curve can be built up fairly quickly. Paul

Yes, observing at a higher cadence would be better.
