Proposal

I come through this proposal to request photometry in the V filter of two targets studied by the citizen science project HOYS (Hunting Outbursts in Young Stars) at the University of Kent, this project by researcher/professor Dr. Dirk Froebrich. The purpose of studying the targets is long-term monitoring of clusters containing young stars to study their structure and behavior.

The first target selected is the star V1491 Cyg, which according to the researcher wrote in Alert Nocite 684:
""Background: We have recently discovered that the young variable star V1491 Cyg (situated in the Pelican Nebula IC5070) is periodically occulted by material in its circumstellar disk. Our light-curves indicate a period of about 180 days and occultations lasting 1-2 weeks. These obscurations could be caused by the Hill sphere of an orbiting protoplanet". Which makes it an interesting target to monitor.

The second target is the star V350 Cep which lies close to the nebular cluster NGC 7129 which has some young variable stars which are also useful for the search.

I would like to request that the proposal verification team indicate exposure time based on the magnitudes reported below.

As mentioned earlier, the purpose of the proposal is to contribute to the citizen science project HOYS and also to report the data to the AAVSO.

Thank you for the opportunity and congratulate the AAVSONET team for the excellent work.

The TAC recommends BVRI for V1491 Cyg and at least VI for V350 Cyg.

Hi Dirk. Thanks for the suggestions, you can apply it on targets.
