Proposal | PROPOSAL: To explore the variability of NSV 14244. 3 hour time series in each of B, V, R, and I bands with an ~10 minute cadence are requested nightly using multiple AAVSOnet telescopes over one month as weather and telescope time permits. RATIONALE: NSV 14244 was imaged incidentally in a time series of another variable star. Magnitudes are noted in the table below: Standard deviation was 0.011. This data set is minimal, but appears to be non-random. The pattern suggests the possibility that this is a rotating variable, perhaps an ELL. VSX lists only 3 observations of this target with no classification and provides no references. A rich set of observations of this target would allow much more precise data analysis including a phase plot which could result in its classification. |
