Proposal

Good morning, I'm Sauro Gaudenzi, I kindly ask for the use of a telescope to observe the subject RW Aur, I ask that a weekly observation of 2 hours be carried out including 60 shots of 60 seconds with B filter and 60 shots of 60 seconds with V filter, if a session of 2 consecutive hours is not possible, do a session of one hour a week of 60 shots of 60 seconds with filter B and a weekly session of 60 60-second shots with filter V. Aavso Young Stellar Objects Special Interest Group leader Mike Poxon (Great Plumstead, Norfolk, UK) writes: "[since the end of 2024 the classic star tau rw aur] has declined by one and a half sizes, and seems to be continuing, possibly with fluctuations." Multicolor photometry is required to monitor this event. "All wavebands are parallel variant with visualization, indicating obscuration by solid material (we know that RW Aur has at least one planetesimal). In the recent past, these episodes of fading have been caused by violent processes in the system. RW Aur has a companion and at these times it seems to have interrupted this second forming star in an orderly manner and launched the material around the stellar environment. Please observe RW Aur at night in as many bands as possible until at least the end of the Dimming episode, preferably continuing for at least a few months after that. Visual observations are welcome.
