Hello AAVSOnet Team,

For the completion of an analysis for the variable star QS Vir for a scientific research paper two follow-up observations of 4 hours each are requested. This eclipsing binary star has a period of about 0.150757525 d (3.6181806 h) and varies in brightness between 14.27 and 17.76 mag. We would like to have exposure times of maximum 15 seconds, ideally 10 seconds
(steep slope of the transit curve edges), for each frame.

If the total proposed observation time is too long, the exact time and date for the transit observations can be determined when slots are available (high frequency of transits). Each minimum has a duraction of ~15 minutes, so that in this case observations of about 45 minutes could be scheduled.

In the context of the high quality data obtained for the last observation campaign of NY Vir for my previous Proposal #601, it would be ideal to use the telescope MPO61 once again for this observation. As the eclipsing WD star is blueish and the host star bright, a blue filter would be beneficial for all images, but it is also possible to simply put no filter (clear). Other filters would not be beneficial.

Best regards and many thanks,
Marvin Kohls (Obs Code KMAM)

Just run 4 hours with Clear filter?
