The TAC will have several questions:

1) What is the desired cadence of the observations?
2) How long does each system need to be observed? Weeks? Months?
3) Have you looked to see if these systems have been observed by projects like ASAS-SN?
4) What is the motivation for making these observations?

In order to maximize the scientific return, we would like to see observations made in multiple filters like BVI.

Dear Sir,
Here are my answers.
1) Exposure time: 10sec-60sec
2) Start date: 21st July'25
End date: 31st July'26
3) I must see the ASAS-SN database for the observations records
of the target stars
4) I would like to re-analysis like Craggy T. 1972, JAAVSO.
Previous that I would like to use VPhot and VStar for photometry and time of maximum brightness.

I am requesting you to use BVI filters for observations purposes.
With regards,
Pradip Karmakar

#1 was about cadence, not exposure time, cadence meaning one set of observations per day, once per week, etc.

(35150) Dr. Pradip Karmakar — July 22, 2025, 7:49 p.m.

cadence is 12 observations per day if possible.

(3663) Dirk Terrell — July 23, 2025, 4:17 p.m.

It would help us immensely if we better understand what you are trying to achieve. 12 observations per day is a lot for longer period systems like these and difficult for us to schedule. Cepheids have pretty smooth light curves, so dense sampling doesn't seem necessary but knowing what exactly you are trying to do with these data would help us understand what is really necessary.

Dear Sir,
My intention is to follow up the Cragg T. 1972 JAVSO paper. I would like to find the time of maximum light with the recent observations. Regarding cadence of the observations is upto you. That's which you feel better for this purpose. I am requesting you just only use V and I filters for observations. Hope you consider my proposal.

Pradip Karmakar

(3663) Dirk Terrell — July 30, 2025, 2:44 p.m.

Ok, how about we observe a few of the targets that are currently visible once per day and see how that goes? Then we can see if that works well enough for your needs.

(35150) Dr. Pradip Karmakar — July 30, 2025, 3:23 p.m.

Dear Sir,
I am agree with you good suggestions.
With regards,
Pradip Karmakar

(35150) Dr. Pradip Karmakar — Aug. 1, 2025, 6:01 p.m.

Dear Sir,
Should I get that observations in BVI filters or in V filter only?
With regards,
Pradip Karmakar

(3663) Dirk Terrell — Aug. 1, 2025, 8:57 p.m.

We would prefer to get BVI observations to enhance the scientific return.
