Proposal

SN 2025rbs is a recently discovered Type Ia supernova in the nearby spiral galaxy NGC 7331, announced by D. O’Neill et al. through the GOTO collaboration. Currently among the brightest supernovae in the sky, SN 2025rbs offers a valuable opportunity to track the photometric evolution of a Type Ia event in detail.

We propose observations, at a frequency of once per night, over the next two months in the B, V, and R bands. This cadence will allow us to monitor the decline from peak brightness, measure color evolution, and contribute to dataset volume for Type Ia light curves.

Accurate photometry of SN 2025rbs will be valuable both for amateur-professional collaborations and for inclusion in broader datasets of well-observed Type Ia supernovae.

Report when exposures need to be increased.

Since this is my first time observing with AAVSOnet, have any exposures been taken, and how should I access the images from mpo61? (If I click on the operations tab, I don't see any sessions scheduled in the near future). Thanks.
