Proposal | EE Cep (AAVSO UID 000-BCQ-039) is an E-DO type disk occultation system and is approaching its eclipse, which occurs every 5.61 years and lasts approximately 8 weeks. I would like to observe it once per night in at least B, V, R, and I filters. The AID contains only a few observations in ugriz filters, so if time allows, these would also be of interest. The campaign should begin soon to establish a baseline before the ingress to the eclipse and continue through the middle of January to obtain the baseline following the egress. I have recently completed the CCD Photometry (2025) CHOICE course led by Ed Wiley and am currently in the Observational Best Practices (2025) course led by Arne. I will report my results through the AAVSO. I will be observing this system using my own remote telescope near Rockwood, Texas, but because of its position, I will have limited sky time as it goes through the eclipse, and would like to augment my observations with the AAVSONet observatories. Thank you and clear skies, John Phillips |
