Proposal

Lot's of interest in this target in the news!
I would like to acquire images of the "comet" 3I/Atlas to track its path and monitor its color in 3x BVR
Data once a day for the next 2 months
RA/Dec below is from the MPC ephemerides for 11/5/2025 for DSO35
I have access to the scope schedule and will update the RA/Dec there.
The ASA scheduling software is not prepared for comet ephemerides, so manual intervention necessary.
I am requesting DSO35 as its large field is best for a target with soft RA/Dec information.
Target is currently 25 deg from the Sun.
Will there be a problem getting the observation because the scope stops at dawn for flats?

Cool.
Let's start with the coord for 11/20: 12 35 27 -2 31 27
We'll quickly find out if the scheduler will refuse to observe this location.

Once the plan is in place I can change the plan to comet with MPC 1-line orbital elements:
0003I 2025 10 29.4831 1.356435 6.139295 128.0103 322.1571 175.1131 20251121 7.4 2.1 3I/ATLAS

This rises almost due East, so any two BSM's with a view to the East.

start with 3x BVI at 30s

Committed to DSO35. you can modify plan as you see fit.
