Proposal

I would like to request BVRI images of the OT Mon star region for long-term monitoring. Photometries of the variable stars in the field of view will be sent to the AAVSO database and also to Professor Dirk Froebrich's HOYS project at the University of Kent. I believe 150 seconds of exposure in BVR and 300 seconds in B would be sufficient, but I welcome suggestions from the team. I would also like to request that the images be taken in MPO due to the ideal image size and FOV.
Observations can be made at intervals of 2 or 3 days.

The TAC will approve this proposal but asks that you be selective when submitting photometry to the AAVSO, such as
1) Reject targets with nearby stars that would affect the measurements
2) Accept only unsaturated targets with decent S/N (say, 20 or more)

Working in crowded fields like this requires a lot of care and effort to get useful data.

Thanks Dirk. Yes, I don't send observations of all the stars in the field of view; I select those for which the measurements are most reliable.
