Matt has contacted me personally and is requesting use of a BSM scope as part of the BSM roll-out campaign. He is new to photometry but has completed the VPHOT course.
Mike" I am new this year to photometry and have been learning to
use VPHOT with the help of my AAVSO mentor, Ken Menzies. I use iTelescope to
obtain images, then plate solve and have them sent to VPHOT. I would like to
make the most of the Bright Star Monitor opportunity." - Matt- (2911) Michael Nicholas — Sept. 17, 2018, 6:57 p.m.
Alert Notice 649: GK Per has dwarf nova outbursts about every 18-36 months, although the interval can vary quite a bit and some intervals can be longer than three years. It is difficult to predict how bright this outburst may be; the brightness and duration of GK Per outbursts have varied substantially over the past 16 years. We'll revisit proposal 9/2021
Observations are assigned to BSM_NH
