Abstract

(Abstract only) We observed the cataclysmic variable star 1 RXP J113123+4322.5 while it was undergoing its recent outburst. We collected data using R and V filters, alternating the filters every two minutes. We obtained two to three hour-long data sets on two different nights. The light curve was analyzed using Mathematica. The period determined was near 95 minutes and there was also some indication of a lower amplitude, higher frequency variation.
