Abstract

JAAVSO authors sometimes ask whether articles submitted to JAAVSO should also be submitted to arXiv, specifically its astrophysics branch, which is known as astro-ph. In general, the answer is yes. Here is some background about arXiv, with an explanation of the pros and cons as I see them.
