Active Dates: Aug. 30, 1991 – Sept. 17, 1991
Abstract:
The Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams and Frank Bateson, Director of the Variable Star Section of the Royal Astronomical Society of New Zealand, inform us that RASNZ member Paul Camilleri, Cobram, Victoria, Australia, has photographically discovered a nova in Scutum on August 30.468 UT at photographic magnitude 10.3, visual magnitude 10.5. Astronomers in the Netherlands have requested assistance in monitoring dwarf novae for their upcoming IUE observing run on dwarf novae in outburst.
Justification:
Assistance is requested to monitor nova in Scutum and dwarf novae for upcoming IUE observing run.
