Alert Notice 150: Rare outburst of 2137+48 V1251 Cygni AND Large amplitude HIPPARCOS stars in need of more observations AND Updates on the activities
Abstract:
The cataclysmic variable 2137+48 V1251 Cygni is in outburst for the first time since 1963. Additionally, large amplitude HIPPARCOS stars require more observations and updates on the activities of stars reported in Alert Notice 149 are provided.
Justification:
Continuous monitoring of V1251 Cyg is essential due to its rare outburst. Additional observations of large amplitude HIPPARCOS stars aid the ongoing HIPPARCOS mission, which provides valuable astrometric and photometric data.
