Supernova in NGC 4411B AND Successful launch of NASA's Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer and detection of first light

Active Dates: July 1, 1992 – July 2, 1992

Abstract:

A supernova was discovered in NGC 4411B by Robert Evans and confirmed by Thomas Cragg. Spectroscopic observations indicate it's a type-II supernova. Additionally, NASA's Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer was successfully launched and it will begin its survey in late July 1992.

Justification:

The discovery and confirmation of a supernova in NGC 4411B and the survey by NASA's Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer align with ongoing astronomical observations and research. Monitoring this supernova can provide valuable data.
