Nova Centauri 1995 AND SN 1995G in NGC 1643 AND SN 1995F in NGC 2726 AND Nova Aquilae 1995 AND Nova Circini 1995 AND Astro-2 is launched

Active Dates: Feb. 23, 1995 – Feb. 27, 1995

Abstract:

This campaign focuses on the observation of multiple novae and supernovae discovered in 1995, including Nova Centauri 1995, SN 1995G in NGC 1643, SN 1995F in NGC 2726, Nova Aquilae 1995, and Nova Circini 1995. Additionally, it includes a reminder to monitor cataclysmic variables for Astro-2, EUVE, Voyager, and ASCA.

Justification:

Observations are critical for tracking the evolution of discovered novae and supernovae, and for supporting the Astro-2 mission as well as EUVE, Voyager, and ASCA.
