A very successful Astro-2 mission completed, Superoutburst of 1051+50 CY Ursae Majoris, and Outburst of 0203+56a UV Persei

Abstract:
This campaign reports on the Astro-2 mission for the observations of variable stars, particularly cataclysmic variables (CVs). The mission was conducted using the Space shuttle Endeavour from March 2, 1995, to March 18, 1995. Also included are the superoutburst of CY Ursae Majoris, the outburst of UV Persei, and the longest minimum observation of U Geminorum since 1984. The alert notice also contains a correction regarding EF Pegasi.
Justification:
Continuous monitoring and updates were provided to the scientists at Marshall Space Flight Center on the behavior of the stars. Observations helped in the satellite scheduling of these objects, which was crucial information for planning observations.
