Fading of 2055+43 V1057 Cygni AND Ending of the Superoutburst of 1227+14 AL Comae Berenices AND Fading of 1904+43 MV Lyrae AND Erratum (GK Per)

Active Dates: May 3, 1995 – May 3, 1995

Abstract:

This campaign reports the abrupt fading of FU Orionis-type nebular variable V1057 Cyg, the ending of a superoutburst in the cataclysmic variable AL Comae Berenices (AL Com), and the fading oscillations of the novalike cataclysmic variable MV Lyrae (MV Lyr).

Justification:

The abrupt changes in brightness of V1057 Cyg, AL Com, and MV Lyr signify potentially significant changes in their behavior and physical condition, warranting close and continuous monitoring.
