Request to monitor 1813+49 AM Herculis for observations with Hubble Space Telescope AND Request to monitor 1834-23 V348 Sagittarii for observations wi

Active Dates: July 10, 1996 – July 15, 1996

Abstract:

The campaign aims to monitor the magnetic cataclysmic variable AM Herculis and the R CrB variable V348 Sagittarii concurrently with the Hubble Space Telescope and ground-based telescopes. These observations are crucial for understanding the behavior of these variable stars, especially during their active states.

Justification:

AM Herculis has been in its low state and may return to its high state. V348 Sagittarii has been very active, varying significantly in magnitude.
