Abstract:
Discovery of a nova in Sagittarius at magnitude 7.8 on photographs taken on March 22, 1998. Further observations and a low-resolution spectrogram reveal H-alpha emission.
Justification:
Observation of a newly discovered nova to gather photometric and spectroscopic data.
