Abstract:
Kesao Takamizawa discovered a nova in Ophiuchus on June 15, 1998, at photographic magnitude 9.5. This nova, confirmed by various observers and spectroscopic observations, was not visible in previous patrol exposures up to magnitude 15. The nova's position was confirmed by multiple sources, and accompanying charts are available to guide further observations.
Justification:
To observe and report the findings of the newly discovered nova in Ophiuchus.
