Supernova 2000P in NGC 4965 in Hydra AND EX Hydrae - multiwavelength observing campaign scheduled

Active Dates: May 5, 2000 – June 10, 2000

Abstract:

The first part of the campaign focuses on the discovery and observation of Supernova 2000P in NGC 4965 in Hydra. The second part schedules an international multiwavelength observing campaign on the cataclysmic variable EX Hydrae from May 5 through June 10 to provide visual coverage during a satellite campaign for correlation with multi-wavelength observations from X-ray to infrared.

Justification:

For Supernova 2000P, the aim is to confirm its presence and gather observations. For EX Hydrae, the objective is to provide optical coverage essential to the success of the satellite observation program, to correlate with multi-wavelength data.
