0733-25 N? Pup 2000 - Possible Nova in Puppis

Abstract:

Kazuyoshi Kanatsu photographically discovered a possible nova in Puppis on December 22, 2000, at photographic magnitude 8.7. The nova, located at RA: 07h 37m 58s, Dec: -25 degrees 56' 51" (2000.0), shows no prior detection on the Digitized Sky Survey or T-Max images down to magnitude 11.7.

Justification:

To observe the behaviour and characteristics of the newly discovered nova in Puppis, known as N? Pup 2000.
