FUSE satellite observations scheduled for 0409-71 VW Hyi AND Outburst of 2328+48 Z And
Abstract:
FUSE satellite has scheduled daily observations of VW Hyi, a SU UMa-type cataclysmic variable, starting late in the week and continuing for about 6 days and then every 3-4 days through the end of August. Concurrently, Z And, a symbiotic variable prototype, is undergoing an outburst.
Justification:
Essential to obtain a dense optical light curve for VW Hyi, currently undergoing a supermaximum, and to monitor Z And's outburst.
