Nova in Eridanus (KT Eri = N Eri 2009)

Abstract:

Nova in Eridanus discovered by K. Itagaki using his 0.21-m patrol system on Nov. 25.536 UT, with discovery magnitude 8.1. Position: R.A = 04:47:54.21, Decl. = -10:10:43.1.

Justification:

Visual and CCD observers are urged to follow KT Eri as it fades. Pre-discovery images indicate KT Eri reached 5th magnitude. Observers are encouraged to check data archives for pre-outburst photometry.
