Abstract:

Nova Sagittarii 2012 No. 3, also known as PNV J17522579-2126215, was independently discovered by Koichi Itagaki and Yukio Sakurai with magnitudes 10.3 and 9.9 respectively. The nova's spectra, confirmed by various observatories, classify it as of the He/N type. Observations, including 412 visual and BVRI, have been reported to AAVSO.

Justification:

Observations and spectra indicate Nova Sgr 2012 No. 3 is of the He/N type, which requires monitoring.
