Abstract:
The symbiotic variable V4018 Sgr is undergoing an outburst, confirmed by observations and spectroscopy. The system has brightened to V magnitude 11.07 as of Sep. 17, 2012. Historical data shows similar behavior. Photometry and spectroscopy are requested during the outburst.
Justification:
BVRI photometry and visual observations requested throughout the current outburst. Spectroscopy is also encouraged.
