Optical monitoring of T Ori requested

Active Dates: Sept. 1, 2013 – Sept. 30, 2013

Abstract:

The campaign aims to monitor the Orion variable T Ori in support of spectroscopy that will be obtained during September 2013. The goal is to observe spectral changes accompanying brightness variations to better understand the cause of T Ori's variability.

Justification:

The cause of T Ori's variability is not fully known even after more than a century. The campaign aims to understand the spectral changes accompanying the brightness variations.
