Nova in Scorpius - PNV J16521887-3754189 [V1657 Sco]
Active Dates: Feb. 1, 2017 – Feb. 12, 2017
Abstract:
Nova in Scorpius [V1657 Sco] was discovered by Hideo Nishimura in Shizuoka-ken, Japan, with a magnitude 11.7 CCD unfiltered observation. Spectroscopy indicates it is an He/N nova. Observations of all types and in all bands are encouraged as the nova evolves.
Justification:
Observations of all types (visual, CCD, DSLR, spectroscopy) and all bands as instrumentation permits are strongly encouraged as the nova evolves.
Requested Data Types:
Photometry, Spectroscopy
