Alert Notice 602: CE Tau Observations Requested to Supplement BRITE-Constellation
Active Dates: Oct. 17, 2017 – March 6, 2018
Abstract:
BRITE-Constellation, a network of nano-satellites, is currently taking photometric observations of the Taurus field. This field includes CE Tau, a red supergiant with significant variations. Dr. Bert Pablo aims to supplement BRITE observations with AAVSO observations over a 6-month period.
Justification:
CE Tau shows significant variations, making it a perfect target for further observation. Additionally, V960 Tau, a Be star with significant variations, can also be observed in the same field of view.
