Nova Cir 2018 - PNV J13532700-6725110 [FM Cir]
Active Dates: Jan. 19, 2018 – Feb. 6, 2018
Abstract:
A nova in Circinus, designated as Nova Cir 2018 and also known as PNV J13532700-6725110 [FM Cir], was discovered by John Seach on January 19, 2018. The nova is of the Fe II class as confirmed by subsequent spectroscopy.
Justification:
Observations in multiple bands (B, V, and I filters) are recommended to study any color changes as the nova evolves. Target-of-opportunity observations with NASA's Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope and Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory have been requested.
Requested Data Types:
Photometry, Spectroscopy
