Anticipated secondary eclipse of b Persei by its third star in November 2018

Abstract:

The bright multiple, eclipsing system b Persei will experience a secondary eclipse in November 2018. High time-resolution observations of the system are requested to capture the transit of the third star as it moves behind the inner pair.

Justification:

Observations will help calibrate offsets from different observing systems, improve the physical parameters of the A, B, and C stars, and gather more data on the predicted eclipse.
