Nova in Scorpius: N Sco 2019 No. 2 = PNV J17370958-3510211

Active Dates: Sept. 15, 2019 – Sept. 16, 2019

Abstract:

A classical nova in Scorpius designated as N Sco 2019 No. 2, discovered by multiple independent astronomers in Japan. Spectroscopy confirms it as a substantially reddened classical nova.

Justification:

Observations of all types (visual, CCD, DSLR, PEP, spectroscopy) and multiple bands as instrumentation permits are strongly encouraged as the nova evolves.
