Abstract:

Dirk van Dam and Dr. Matthew Kenworthy from Leiden Observatory request AAVSO observer assistance in monitoring the UXOR ASASSN-V J181654.06-202117.6 in an exoplanet/planetary system study.

Justification:

The system shows a very deep asymmetric eclipse, indicative of a circumplanetary disk, and exhibits substructure. AAVSO observations would help to fill out the eclipse, add more detail to the full transit, and explore the possibility of rings or better constrain the modeling of the eclipse.
