Chandra observations taking place for RW Aur
Active Dates: Jan. 1, 2015 – Dec. 31, 2022
Abstract:
X-ray observations have been scheduled with Chandra for the classical T Tauri star RW Aur (component A). Dr. Guenther requests nightly observations in as many filters as possible; time series are not necessary. Visual observations are welcome. Once the Chandra observations are over, ongoing multi-filter monitoring is requested. The campaign on RW Aur, which began in 2015, is continuing at least through 2022.
Justification:
Since 2015 RW Aur has shown very interesting behavior; ongoing observations are requested to monitor its variability.
