HST Observing Schedule for TW Hya - Final Set of Observations
Abstract:
Dr. Fred Walter (Stony Brook University) informs us that the final set of HST observations of the T Tau star TW Hya will take place in early April 2021. Observations are requested in four bands (B, V, and either Cousins RI or Sloan ri), to monitor TW Hya's variability and establish trends and periodicities.
Justification:
The important thing is to get dense-enough coverage to establish trends and periodicities. Once the HST observations are completed, please continue to monitor TW Hya through April 15, but at a lower cadence, with one observation per night, to understand the processes involved in the formation of low mass stars, their circumstellar disks, and their planets, via time-variability of these systems.
