V627 Peg photometry and spectroscopy requested

Active Dates: July 20, 2021 – None

Abstract:

Dr. Christian Knigge has requested AAVSO observers' assistance in obtaining photometry and spectroscopy of the WZ Sge-type cataclysmic variable V627 Peg, which is currently in outburst. The goal is to link up different features across the radio, optical, UV, and X-ray bands. V and B filters have the highest priority.

Justification:

V627 Peg is in a state of outburst, providing a unique opportunity to observe the system across multiple wavebands and study phenomena such as superhumps, color evolution, and X-ray emission.
