V1204 Tau observations needed now for HST coverage
Active Dates: Jan. 14, 2022 – Jan. 19, 2022
Abstract:
HST observations of V1204 Tau have been scheduled for 2022 January 18 04:30-11:40 UT. The target, a pre-main sequence T Tauri star, is part of the ULLYSES/ODYSSEUS campaign. Dr. Walter requests AAVSO observers to monitor this star before, during, and after the HST observations.
Justification:
A positive V observation is crucial 24 hours before the scheduled start time to allow the HST team to make a go/nogo decision. Additionally, multiple nightly observations will help reconstruct the light curve and establish the photometric phase, as the rotational period is 3.08 days.
