Observations of EH Lib for Master's Thesis Research

Active Dates: June 6, 2022 – June 15, 2022

Abstract:

Dr. Eric Hintz (Brigham Young University), Jarrod Hansen (BYU), and Scott Call (BYU) request AAVSO observers' assistance in observing the delta Sct variable EH Lib in support of spectroscopic observations being obtained this week for a Master's Thesis research project.

Justification:

This campaign aims to obtain simultaneous IR and optical spectra over at least one pulsation cycle, with a cadence of about 10 to 15 minutes. Accurate phase information is needed to compare spectroscopic data to photometric data. Photometric observations during the same period are crucial for the best phase information and to enhance the final thesis.
