V485 Aqr and UU Aql are HST targets in July and August
Active Dates: July 1, 2022 – Aug. 31, 2022
Abstract:
Hubble Space Telescope (HST) will observe the dwarf novae V485 Aqr in July and UU Aql in August 2022. Monitoring these targets with nightly observations in V is crucial to ensure successful HST observations.
Justification:
Monitoring is essential to have a positive V measurement 24 hours before the scheduled HST time for a go-nogo decision. If the target is too faint to obtain the minimum SNR in V, switch to CV. Observers are encouraged to submit observations promptly if an outburst is detected.
