Nova in Mensa: N Men 2022 (= ATLAS22beux = AT 2022ufh)
Abstract:
This interesting nova was discovered at orange ATLAS magnitude ~13.7 on Sep. 15. It brightened to magnitude ~11.5 g (ASAS-SN) on Sep. 19, faded to ~13.1 g (ASAS-SN) on Sep. 23, then brightened again to ~11.7 CV (Hambsch) on Sep 24. It is continuing to fluctuate.
Justification:
Please observe N Men 2022 as it continues to evolve, with observations of all types (visual, CCD/CMOS, DSLR, spectroscopy) and multiple bands as instrumentation permits. Frequency of observation depends on the rate of decline.
